I normally do not get star-struck, but in this case it was like a warm wave of love washed over me! Being in the presence of Ms. Marion Cotillard is probably what it felt like to stand next to Lady Di. She was ever so graceful and kind, and warm hearted. My career-idol has always been Angelina Jolie, but in recent years as Angie has wandered from the spotlight, my attention focused on Cotillard and her brilliant performances. She is most inspiring to me as a rising actress, and with shaking hands and a blustering heartbeat, I told her flat out: “I respect you, so much.”
I can only hope to achieve as much as she has some day. What a magnificent career to emulate. If I could learn from any actress, it would be her. Thank you for the wonderful work in Rust and Bone (which is where we met, at the screening for our consideration) and everything you have worked so hard for. I am yours, my dear!
I can’t wait until I am a regular working actress. Marion said that her favorite time is when she has months to work on a part, to research and discover. This is also my favorite part of the process, which happens all too rarely when you are mostly working in TV. Let those film scripts come tumbling in- I’m anxious to start the process again 🙂 Writers- I’m looking for some GREAT sci-fi action thrillers!
Went to a fantastic 35mm screening of Beetlejuice on Monday night. I adore LA and there retro-screenings at Arclight! This was the most fun because it’s Halloween, and a few of us dressed up for the occasion. Low and behold! We wound up bumping into DEXTER actor, Michael C Hall! What a lovely experience, being that it’s Halloween and he is AWESOME!
I am one of those people that celebrates Halloween for two months prior to the date, so naturally – Saturday night we went to see Jane’s Addiction at the Wiltern. I have now seen them 4 times and proud of it as they are my FAVORITE BAND of all time 🙂 Perry was a riot as usual and Dave was hilarious and so sincerely ROCK N ROLL. What an icon. What a night! Went dressed as a super secret character that I’m working on for a web series in the very near future- her name will be revealed in a few months to come! Then of course, the actual night of Halloween I dusted off a vintage ragdoll dress I bought at Reminiscence in New York a few years back. FINALLY got to wear it and made the night with my cracked dollface makeup and plastic mask! Got a few good scares out of people. Nothing gives me a bigger rush. Can’t wait to play a serial killer in a fantastic film someday!Best Costume Award: THE DRIVER FROM DRIVE
My DOLLFACE KILLER costumeAll in all, a very successful Halloween, kids 🙂 CAN’T WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAR…MWA HAHAHA! Be on the lookout for all new videos and blips on #NERDNOISE!
